A sustainable innovation partnership between Foyer and GPA
From their very first meeting at an insurance conference in Paris, the Foyer and GPA teams immediately recognised strong common ground: a long-standing family heritage, shared values of commitment and innovation, and a joint ambition to contribute to a more sustainable world.
This « entrepreneurial spark » led to the launch of a unique partnership between the two groups. Foyer has thus become the first insurer in Luxembourg to offer its customers reusable parts for the repair of damaged vehicles, in collaboration with GPA, a major industrial player in automotive recycling and the first mission-driven company in its sector in France.
This also marks a first for GPA Group, as this partnership is their first step into international development.
A pioneering partnership for a local circular economy
Under this agreement, vehicles declared a total loss in Luxembourg are processed by GPA at its French facility in Livron-sur-Drôme, and soon also at its new site in Pont-Sainte-Maxence, located closer to Luxembourg. The reused parts recovered through this process are then used to repair Foyer-insured vehicles, creating a virtuous and sustainable loop tailored to the local vehicle fleet. In addition, Foyer has access to GPA’s full parts catalogue, enabling it to offer customers the most appropriate repair solution.
By integrating this initiative into its services, Foyer continues to embed sustainability at the heart of its business strategy, in line with its corporate ambition to “Assurons un monde meilleur”. Reused parts reduce the carbon footprint by nearly 80% compared to new parts, making car repairs more sustainable, faster and more cost-effective.

As a pioneer in Luxembourg, Foyer is convinced that this innovative solution also addresses a growing concern among its customers: being able to repair their vehicles more responsibly, while benefiting from a reused part guaranteed for life by Foyer, under specific conditions.
When available, these parts are systematically proposed as an alternative – offering a sustainable and cost-effective option, while giving customers the freedom to choose the repair solution that best suits them.
